Garhwa (Jharkhand): Six people were killed and 39 others got injured as a bus fell into a gorge in Jharkhand's Garhwa district on Tuesday.
"The accident took place around 3:30 am. CRPF jawans recovered the bodies of six people and rescued 39 passengers by entering the bus by smashing the glass of the windows," Superintendent of Police Shivani said.
According to officials, while three of the injured were referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, the rest were admitted to a local hospital.
Further, the bus was heading to Garhwa, about 140 km from state capital Ranchi, from Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh, based on the reports.
