Mumbai: The collapse of the Kumaraswamy-led government in Karnataka was predicted way back when it was formed in the state, said Shiv Sena on Monday.
The Congress-JD (S) coalition government in Karnataka was formed 13-months back. On July 6,11 Congress MLAs resigned from the membership of the state Assembly.
Shiv Sena said, "It's very clear that the Karnataka coalition government will fall. Kumaraswamy-led government coming to power was unnatural. When this government was formed, its fall was already predicted. A political turmoil is going on in Karnataka. Siddaramaiah wanted to be the Chief Minister again with the backing of Kumaraswamy. Non-BJP governments will not exist for long in the country."
The ruling coalition government has come down to 105 with eight short of the halfway mark of 113 for a majority.
Ramalinga Reddy, Ramesh Jarakiholi, Mahesh Kumatalli, Shivaram Hebbar, BC Patil, Muniratna, ST Somashekhar, Byrathi Basavaraj, Sowmya Reddy, Pratap Gowda Patil, Anand Singh are from the Congress and Narayana Gowda, Gopalaiah and H Vishwanath are from the JDS. The dissident MLAs are staying at a hotel in Mumbai.
