New Delhi: The Centre on Monday moved a resolution to repeal Article 370 of the Constitution that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
The government has also decided to bifurcate the state into two Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir, which will have a legislature, and Ladakh, which will be without a legislature.
Slamming the government on this, JD(U) leader and Bihar Minister, Shyam Razak said that the decision to revoke Article 370 is like a black spot on the constitution.
"The Union government should have taken all stakeholders into confidence before passing any resolution on Article 370. The JD(U) strongly opposes this. We will protest against this in the Parliament," said Razak.
He further added that the JD(U)-BJP alliance will continue in Bihar and issue as this issue has no role to play in Bihar.
