New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday left for France to attend the induction ceremony of first Rafale aircraft into the Indian Air Force. The minister will receive the aircraft tomorrow on the occasion of Dussehra and also IAF day.
Before embarking for the visit, Rajnath tweeted, "Leaving New Delhi for Paris on a three-day visit to France. Shall attend the Annual Defence Dialogue and the Induction Ceremony of Rafale."

During his visit, Singh is expected to meet French President Emmanuel Macron and his counterpart Florence Parley to discuss bilateral defence ties.
Singh will perform 'Shastra Puja' after receiving the first Rafale fighter jet at Merignac suburb of Bordeaux on Tuesday. After performing puja, he will take a sortie in the aircraft.
