Jaipur (Rajasthan): Just a week ago, Rajasthan was a hotbed of covid-19 cases and a source of alarm to the policymakers. And now at present, the state is teaching valuable lessons and has emerged victorious in a war against Covid-19.
Various pictures from the state are making rounds on social media setting an example for the other states to contain the spread of Covid-19. Credit it to strict lockdown, strategic containment plan and dedicated healthcare work Banswara district has been able to stem the spread of the virus.
Going a step ahead to stop the infection in one of the worst-hit states, administration of Dungarpur district has increased the vigil on the borders adjoining Banswara district. Seeing the spike in the number of positive covid-19 cases in the region, police has sealed the water boundaries to avoid any movement from the nearby areas.
Commenting on the measures, SP Jai Yadav said, "We have sealed the borders so that no person can enter the area from Kushalgarh and Anandpuri can enter the area. Water boundaries are being secured through boats by constructing well police teams. Fishing has been banned too".

People of Mayapur village have also set up a unique example and have taken a different stance to stop the spread of covid-19. The youth of the village act as a guard for the borders and does not allow any outsider to cross the boundary. All the borders have been sealed.
No outsiders are allowed to visit the village and if required, meetings can take place only near the sealed borders. All the shops have been shut and check post has been installed near the border with youths keeping an eye on the movement of vehicles entering the village. In an effort to create awareness, children and youth have shaved their heads.
"We shave our heads when there is any death in the family. Likewise, we don't believe in the existence of coronavirus in our village and we have taken this step", said the villagers.

In order to maintain a track record of the activities in Ajmer, CCTV cameras have been installed in Datra Gram Panchayat. The village is under the complete surveillance of CCTV cameras and strict action is taken against people violating the norms.
However, CCTV cameras were installed in the village to keep an eye on theft incidents and intruders, but now these cameras are proving to be a boon amid lockdown. Section 144 has been imposed and IT center at Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra of the village has a control room for CCTV cameras where all the activities are monitored. People not abiding by the guidelines are contacted immediately by the administration and are advised to go home.
