Stressing that the Central government should immediately converse with the protesting farmers, Delhi Home Minister Satyendar Jain on Sunday said that there should be no conditions for holding talks with the farmers.
Jain's remark comes a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured the farmers that the Centre is ready to hold discussions with them before December if they shift their protest to a structured place and vacate roads and highways, where they have been protesting.
"There should not be any condition for talks with farmers. The talks should be held immediately. They are the farmers of our country. They should be allowed to stage their protest where they want," Jain told reporters here.
The farmers, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, embarked on 'Dilli Chalo' march to protest against the three new farm laws.
When asked about the problems being faced by Delhites due to the farmers' protest, Jain said that these farmers are also facing problems.
"They have travelled hundreds of kilometres from their homes to put forward their objections. They have a right to speak their mind in a peaceful manner. This is a democracy," he added.

Tikri border has been closed for any traffic as the farmers continue to protest the Centre's farm laws, said DelhiTraffic Police on Sunday.
With this, the available open borders to Haryana are Jharoda, Dhansa, Daurala Jhatikera, Badusari, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera.
"Tikri border is closed for any traffic movement. Available Open Borders to Haryana are following Borders Jharoda, Dhansa, Daurala Jhatikera, Badusari, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam vihar and Dundahera borders," Delhi Traffic Police tweeted.

The Delhi administration has allotted the Burari ground to the farmers for protesting. While some hundred shifted there on Saturday morning after they were allowed to enter Delhi through the Tikri border, thousand others are demanding that they be allowed to enter the heart of the city.
The Home Minister said that the Centre was ready to deliberate on every problem and demand of the farmers as soon as they move to the ground allocated by the Delhi Police.
The farmers of Kisan Union Amristar said that if the government really wished to hear their problems, they can visit the farmers at the Singhu border.

Even as farmers of Punjab and Haryana continue to rally at Singhu and Tikari border entry points, scores of Uttar Pradesh farmers gathered at Ghazipur on the Delhi-Ghazipur border on Sunday morning in their bid to enter the national capital.
Though the police officials were holding talks with them and were willing to allow them to go to Burari in north-west Delhi where a section of farmers have already been camping, the farmers from Uttar Pradesh – rallying under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union -- were adamant on visiting Parliament House in central Delhi to lodge their protest against the three central farm laws.
East Delhi's Additional DCP Manjeet Sheoran crossed the Delhi border and interacted with leaders of around 200 farmers who had gathered in Ghaziabad territory adjoining Delhi.
Even as police officials asked farmers about their plans for the day, they did not reveal anything in this regard.
Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's advice to farmers to rally in Burari, Sanjay Tyagi, a farmer from Muzaffarnagar, said: "What will we get by going to Burari? Will Amit Shah come there to seek our votes? If he wishes to talk to farmers, he should come on the interstate border."
"The Centre is harassing farmers. Only farmer and jawans did not give up during coronavirus. We will go to Parliament House and nowhere else," he said.
He said that farmers were well aware of the inconvenience caused to the general public due to their plan to hold protest in Delhi, but asserted that it was the need of the hour as the farmers fed the whole country.
"Talks with farmers are going on; we have told the farmers that we are ready to send them to Burari. They have not yet taken a decision. If they are willing, we will take them to the Burari ground," Sheoran said.
He said that the police had no information as yet on the arrival of more farmers on the spot from various places in Uttar Pradesh.

Farmers will stay wherever they are for now and the next course of action will be decided on Sunday, a union leader said.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (Dakaunda) president Buta Singh Burjgill over the phone said no decision has yet been taken on shifting to the Burari ground in Delhi, a place earmarked for their agitation by police.
“It has been decided that on Saturday night, protesting farmers will stay wherever they are,” he said, adding that a large number of them have assembled at the Singhu and Tikri borders with the national capital.
He said representatives of several farmers'' organisations will hold another round of meeting on Sunday to decide the next course of action.
However, the BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan), one of the largest farmer organisations in Punjab, said they will not go to the Burari ground in Delhi.
“We urge the Union government to give us a place at the Jantar Mantar for the agitation. We will not go to the Burari ground at any cost,” said BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan) senior vice-president Jhanda Singh Jethuke.

Accept Shah's appeal, Punjab CM urges protesting farmers
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Saturday urged the protesting farmers to reciprocate to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's gesture by accepting his appeal to shift to a designated place, thus paving the way for early talks to resolve their issues.
Reacting to Shah's offer to hold discussions with the farmers at the earliest, Amarinder Singh said it is in the best interest of the farming community and the nation at large.
Shah's statement reflecting the Centre's willingness to listen to the farmers is a welcome step, said the Chief Minister, stressing that the only solution to the current stalemate on the farm laws issue is discussion.
Since the Home Minister has made it clear that the government of India is "ready to deliberate on every problem and demand" of the farmers, and would hold talks the day after the farmers shift to the designated site in Delhi for their protest, the leaders should also move forward, said the Chief Minister.
Only by sitting across the table can both sides come to a solution to the problem, he added.
Pointing out that the purpose of their protest is not to block highways and inconvenience people but to pressurise the Central government to listen to their voice, the Chief Minister said the farmers have already won half the battle by bringing the Union government to the negotiating table without further delay.
The farmers should grab the Union Home Minister's offer and make the most of the opportunity to resolve the crisis triggered by the central laws, Amarinder Singh said.
He and his government are prepared to extend their full support to these negotiations, and are willing to mediate in the collective interest of all, Amarinder Singh said.
It is in Punjab's interest, and that of every Punjabi, to find an early solution to the problem, he added.

"If they (farmers) are planning to move towards Burari, we will accompany them till there but permission has not been granted to them to move somewhere else. We have outside forces and Delhi Police constables are with us. We have all the adequate arrangements," said Sheoran.
On the other hand, commuters headed towards the national capital from other states said they are facing problems due to road blockade at the Singhu border (Delhi-Haryana border).

The Delhi administration has allotted the Burari ground to the farmers for protesting. While some hundred shifted there on Saturday morning after they were allowed to enter Delhi through the Tikri border, thousand others are demanding that they be allowed to enter the heart of the city.
The Home Minister said that the Centre was ready to deliberate on every problem and demand of the farmers as soon as they move to the ground allocated by the Delhi Police.
The farmers of Kisan Union Amristar said that if the government really wished to hear their problems, they can visit the farmers at the Singhu border.
The farmers, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, embarked on 'Dilli Chalo' march to protest against the three new farm laws.

Even as farmers of Punjab and Haryana continue to rally at Singhu and Tikari border entry points, scores of Uttar Pradesh farmers gathered at Ghazipur on the Delhi-Ghazipur border on Sunday morning in their bid to enter the national capital.
Though the police officials were holding talks with them and were willing to allow them to go to Burari in north-west Delhi where a section of farmers have already been camping, the farmers from Uttar Pradesh – rallying under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union -- were adamant on visiting Parliament House in central Delhi to lodge their protest against the three central farm laws.
East Delhi's Additional DCP Manjeet Sheoran crossed the Delhi border and interacted with leaders of around 200 farmers who had gathered in Ghaziabad territory adjoining Delhi.
Even as police officials asked farmers about their plans for the day, they did not reveal anything in this regard.
Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's advice to farmers to rally in Burari, Sanjay Tyagi, a farmer from Muzaffarnagar, said: "What will we get by going to Burari? Will Amit Shah come there to seek our votes? If he wishes to talk to farmers, he should come on the interstate border."
"The Centre is harassing farmers. Only farmer and jawans did not give up during coronavirus. We will go to Parliament House and nowhere else," he said.
He said that farmers were well aware of the inconvenience caused to the general public due to their plan to hold protest in Delhi, but asserted that it was the need of the hour as the farmers fed the whole country.
"Talks with farmers are going on; we have told the farmers that we are ready to send them to Burari. They have not yet taken a decision. If they are willing, we will take them to the Burari ground," Sheoran said.
He said that the police had no information as yet on the arrival of more farmers on the spot from various places in Uttar Pradesh.

Farmers will stay wherever they are for now and the next course of action will be decided on Sunday, a union leader said.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (Dakaunda) president Buta Singh Burjgill over the phone said no decision has yet been taken on shifting to the Burari ground in Delhi, a place earmarked for their agitation by police.
“It has been decided that on Saturday night, protesting farmers will stay wherever they are,” he said, adding that a large number of them have assembled at the Singhu and Tikri borders with the national capital.
He said representatives of several farmers'' organisations will hold another round of meeting on Sunday to decide the next course of action.
However, the BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan), one of the largest farmer organisations in Punjab, said they will not go to the Burari ground in Delhi.
“We urge the Union government to give us a place at the Jantar Mantar for the agitation. We will not go to the Burari ground at any cost,” said BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan) senior vice-president Jhanda Singh Jethuke.

Accept Shah's appeal, Punjab CM urges protesting farmers
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Saturday urged the protesting farmers to reciprocate to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's gesture by accepting his appeal to shift to a designated place, thus paving the way for early talks to resolve their issues.
Reacting to Shah's offer to hold discussions with the farmers at the earliest, Amarinder Singh said it is in the best interest of the farming community and the nation at large.
Shah's statement reflecting the Centre's willingness to listen to the farmers is a welcome step, said the Chief Minister, stressing that the only solution to the current stalemate on the farm laws issue is discussion.
Since the Home Minister has made it clear that the government of India is "ready to deliberate on every problem and demand" of the farmers, and would hold talks the day after the farmers shift to the designated site in Delhi for their protest, the leaders should also move forward, said the Chief Minister.
Only by sitting across the table can both sides come to a solution to the problem, he added.
Pointing out that the purpose of their protest is not to block highways and inconvenience people but to pressurise the Central government to listen to their voice, the Chief Minister said the farmers have already won half the battle by bringing the Union government to the negotiating table without further delay.
The farmers should grab the Union Home Minister's offer and make the most of the opportunity to resolve the crisis triggered by the central laws, Amarinder Singh said.
He and his government are prepared to extend their full support to these negotiations, and are willing to mediate in the collective interest of all, Amarinder Singh said.
It is in Punjab's interest, and that of every Punjabi, to find an early solution to the problem, he added.
