Lucknow: The Delhi Police has allowed the farmers involved in the movement to take out the tractor parade in the national capital. According to the police in Uttar Pradesh, on January 26, about 5,000 farmers from the state can participate in the parade on the border of Delhi. Most of the farmers joining from Uttar Pradesh are from Meerut, Moradabad districts of western parts of the state. Farmers from Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat and Saharanpur will also reach the Delhi border. The police of Uttar Pradesh have become vigilant in view of the tractor parade to be held on the Republic Day in Delhi.
Uttar Pradesh ADG, Law and Order, Prashant Kumar said that the police administration is constantly talking to the farmers’ organizations and their functionaries attending the parade. The ADG, Law and Order, further said that special monitoring is being done for those who are going to take part in the tractor parade of farmer organizations. Apart from this, special monitoring is also being done on social media. It is completely misleading to say that petrol pumps are being told not to give fuel to tractors.

- Police will constantly communicate with farmer leaders and functionaries in western UP.
- Special monitoring on the farmers from 45 villages bordering Meerut.
- Ups security monitoring on major routes in UP
- Additional police deployment Ganga Canal Road, NH-58, Meerut Pauri Marg
- Special police team will monitor content published on social media
ADG ON DIESEL NOT BEING SOLD TO TRACTORS
On social media, the news of petrol pumps not giving diesel to the tractors of the farmers participating in the tractor parade is being spread. The ADG, Law and Order, Prashant Kumar said that no such order has been given by the police. This type of information being spread on social media is misleading. There is no restriction on giving diesel to farmers at petrol pumps.
OPPOSITION AGGRESSIVE, BJP DEFENSIVE
The Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal, which are playing the role of opposition in Uttar Pradesh, have attacked the BJP government after the news of not giving diesel to tractors spread amid the farmer movement. The Bharatiya Janata Party alleges that the opposition is tricking the farmers.
“In a democracy, everyone has the right to speak; the right to agitate. Farmers are also agitating. It is different that some invisible powers are working to take the movement of those farmers in the wrong direction. Yet if the farmers take out a tractor rally, the administration will do its job", said Hero Vajpayee, Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party.
The Rashtriya Lok Dal is giving full support to the tractor parade of farmers to be brought out on the Republic Day. RLD workers will also take out tractors in support of farmers in a peaceful manner. The grain givers of the country are agitated and the government is sleeping. The government should immediately accept the farmers’ talk and withdraw the three black laws, said Rohit Aggarwal, Spokesperson, Youth Rashtriya Lok Dal.
Congress spokesperson, Anshu Awasthi said, " It was more than 60 days and eleven rounds of talk, the BJP government did not withdraw the farm black laws. When the Annadata of the country wants to take out the tricolour on Republic Day, then the government is prohibited. Is this why 130 crore people of the country chose this government to make laws only for Adani and Ambani?"
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Amik Jamei said that the Party will demonstrate peacefully in favour of farmers with the tricolour. "We demand from the government to withdraw the three anti-farmer laws. The Samajwadi Party is also standing in favour of the farmers. The Samajwadi Party will celebrate the Republic Day celebrations with a tractor in the Tehsil of all the districts of the state", added Jamei.
