New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday recalled Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore's role in the freedom struggle on his 159th birth anniversary.

Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is celebrated on the 25th day of the Bengali month of Boishakh.
