New Delhi: Congress on Friday hit out at Prime minister Narendra Modi for raising the Pulwama attack incident once again to garner votes while addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Alok Sharma said that the PM did not speak about any of developmental works that had taken place during his reign in Varanasi, that shows how little he has done for the place in the last five years.
Calling it a viloation of the Model Code of Conduct, Sharma said that the number of accomplishments by the BJP in Varanasi is ver less, which is why he kept talking about the Pulwama terror attack.
The PM on Friday filed his nominations at the Collectorate's office from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
Taking a dig at the PM taking blessings from Akali Dal leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, Sharma alleged that the BJP has now begun to root on forming allies to win the elections.
He further said that the PM gets upset when others form alliances and alleged that the PM only makes empty promises to the people and mislead them.
