Amritsar(Punjab): Pakistan handed over five Indian nationals to the Indian authorities through the Attari-Wagah border. These individuals were lodged in various jails of Pakistan.
The prisoners expressed happiness on their return.
One of the prisoners, Kanpur resident Shamsuddin said that he has arrived in India today after twenty-eight years. After having a dispute with parents he had gone to Pakistan with a visa. Later, he was arrested by the police after his visa expired in 2012 and he was in jail since then.
ASI Arun Pal said that around 4 P.M on Monday, Pakistani rangers handed over five Indian nationals to them. One of the prisoner's mental state was not found stable. All the five prisoners have been kept in confinement on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner in Amritsar.
