Pak to release 100 fishermen

New Delhi: Sources have told ETV Bharat that Pakistan is all set to release 100 fishermen languishing in its prison on Monday.

Following development took place after India demanded release and repatriation of its 10 civilians and 385 fishermen in a Note Verbale written to Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Tuesday.

In its Note Verbale, India expressed deep concerns over the condition of its prisoners lying in Pakistani jails.

It also claimed that despite the completion of their sentence, these 395 are still stuck there.

Claiming that it provides regular counselor access to Pakistani prisoners languishing in its prisons, India accused Pakistan of not doing the same.

Providing the list of missing defence personnel which India claims to be lying in Pak custody, India asked Pakistan to take necessary steps to locate, release and repatriate them.
