Over 200 daily wage earners of UP stranded in Himachal seek CM Yogi's help

Over 200 daily earners, who are stranded in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district have urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath and Ministry of Labour and Employment Santosh Gangwar to help them get back home as soon as possible.

Kangra (Himachal Pradesh): As many as 200 daily wage workers, hailing from different parts of Uttar Pradesh, who are stranded here, took to social media to narrate their ordeal and urged the concerned Ministers to bring them back to their respective places.

In a two-minute video, which went viral on social media platforms says, "I, Ravi Prakash, a native of Mirgang Village, District- Angadpur, Uttar Pradesh has been stranded at ITC- Manpura, Tehsil- Nalagarh, District- Solan, Himachal Pradesh along with 200-250 daily workers. We don't have any work since Prime Minister Modi announced a nationwide lockdown. Now, we are struggling with even two meals a day. So, I want to request my local MLA Dr DC Verma to rescue us."

He further urged the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath and Ministry of Labour and Employment Santosh Gangwar to help them get back home as soon as possible.

Earlier on Sunday, over 1,500 workers stranded in Haryana due to the coronavirus lockdown were brought in 62 buses to the UP border from where they were taken to their destinations.
