New Delhi: With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday appointing former health minister Jagat Prakash Nadda as its working president, Om Prakash Dhankar, a serving Cabinet Minister in the Haryana government, welcomed the decision and said that Nadda's experience would immensely help the party's prospects in the upcoming elections, including the assembly polls in Haryana.
"I genuinely feel that JP Nadda's appointment would benefit the organisation even more. His experience will play a major role in the poll strategies designed by Amit Shah and the campaigns undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upcoming elections in several states including Haryana, " said Dhankar.
Speaking about his close relationship with Nadda, the Haryana minister said, "I know him personally and I am happy for his election as the working national president of the BJP. We have together for the BJP for over a decade now."

In the run-up to the 2019 general elections, Nadda was in-charge of BJP’s election campaign in Uttar Pradesh, where the party faced a tough challenge following the alliance between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Apart from handling crucial states for the BJP in the general elections, Nadda is also a member of the parliamentary board of the party.
