New Delhi: After receiving multiple complaints regarding clerk forgery, CCTV cameras will be installed at the ticket and parcel counters of New Delhi Railway station in a period of six months.
Passengers reportedly faced a lot of issues because of the fraudulent act of the clerks working in these booking and parcel counters.
According to the officials, the staff will be under surveillance and a live control room will monitor their actions.
It is also alleged that a lot of money misappropriation also took place while giving tickets to passengers.
It is being hoped that the installation of the CCTV cameras will prove to be an effective step to curb corruption and inefficiency.
