New Delhi: BJP president JP Nadda is set to embark on a 100-day nationwide tour with a focus on strengthening the party in regions where it had not done relatively well in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Nadda will kick-off the 100-day programme on November 26 from Assam, where he will hold a meeting with MLAs, MPs and other office-bearers of the party to devise the future strategy.
After Assam, Nadda will likely visit Mizoram on November 28, followed by likely visits to Meghalaya and Nagaland.
According to reports, this phase of Nadda's 100-day programme is being seen as the party's bid to strengthen its presence in the Northeastern states.
However, the party has prepared the 100-day programme keeping in mind other states where Assembly elections are due, and also the broader 2024 general election.

After West Bengal, Assembly polls are also due in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu.
According to reports, a plan will also be chalked out for the poll-bound states, but for now, the party's focus seems to be firmly fixed upon the Northeast.
Pertinently, Nadda and BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh had two days earlier held a key meeting with the newly-appointed party office-bearers.
According to reports, the two leaders asked the party's in-charges to make frequent visits to their respective states.
