Sanchore: The residents of Sanchore were abuzz over a deafening mysterious loud boom that was heard over a large area on Friday morning after a suspected bomb-like material dropped from the sky, prompting speculation.
Authorities quickly stepped in to investigate the matter and to reassure people that there was nothing to worry as the incident triggered panic in the area. The intensity was high and the loud boom sound was heard even in the adjoining areas stretched till 2 kms.
The incident reportedly happened in Barsam Bypass Pulia area at 6.15 am in the morning after which Subdivision officer Bhupendra Yadav, along with the cops, rushed to the spot to take whereabouts of the incident.
There has been a lot of speculations regarding the suspicious material, as some say it looked like a mortar(technically called bombs) and its sound was similar to that of helicopter. However, others claimed that the object looks like a meteor or like a broken part of a wrecked ship.

Yadav said, "A loud sound was heard after a suspected bomb-like material dropped from the sky. We have called an expert team from outside for the probe. Security has been beefed up and all the adjoining areas have been tightened with security."
"The mysterious object is producing heat waves tilll now. We are investigating the matter and locals have been asked to stay away from the incident spot. We have requested the locals not to be alarmed by the mysterious sound and spread rumours."
