Kanjurmarg: A hairdresser, to promote book reading among those who visit his shops, has opened a library inside his saloon with various books including the Constitution.
He took the step in order to make the customers utilize their waiting time by reading books and make them more used to reading books rather than using mobiles.
Nowadays reading skills have come down gradually and excessive use of mobile has played a role in it, he said.
People are busy with mobiles everywhere in roads, autos, trains, buses . Two or three out of ten persons are busy with mobiles all the time, he added.
The idea of having a library in the saloon to encourage reading habits among the people was given to me by Dr. Manoj Chauhan a regular customer of the saloon, he said.
The idea was then taken into practice within ten days and it gave very good results, he added.
