Talking about the new initiatives of Ministry of Ayush, Naik said that preventive and primitive health care and school health program will be the focus of the ministry. Delivery of the best affordable health care facilities particularly to the vulnerable section is the priority for the government, he added.

Focussing on the requirements of resources, Kaul said that research in Ayush suffers from lack of resources and the state governments should provide funds and all the adequate resources.
Minister of State for Ayush, Shripad Yesso Naik, chaired a conference for state Ayush/Health ministers. This was the fourth edition of the conference to discuss various schemes under Ayush and the action plan for it. Rajeev Kumar, Vice Chairman of Niti Ayog was the chief guest for the conference.
