Manipur: Amid ongoing coronavirus lockdown, Manipur Health Minister L Jayantakumar Singh on Sunday asked people to participate in a challenge which he has termed as "Yumda Leisi + Hakchang Phagathansi” (meaning let’s stay home, let’s stay healthy).

He further appealed individuals to shoot one-minute video of their constructive activity and share it on social media, tagging two other persons to do the same.

"To participate in the “Yumda Leisi + Hakchang Phagathansi” challenge, one has to create a video of one minute performing any activity – ranging from yoga to dance or singing or any form of recreation activity. The basic idea is to relieve people from tension and anxiety that might have been caused by staying long at home due to COVID-19 lockdown," said Singh who himself performed yoga and posted a video of it on social media.

He further added "Social media and everything is abuzz with COVID -19 related news. My challenge will not only divert peoples' attention but will also improve their health."

However, Manipur by far has reported two COVID-19 positive cases. The first case was of a 23-year old woman who returned from the UK. She was reportedly discharged from the hospital after treatment and was asked to stay under home quarantine. The second case was of a participant Tablighi Jamaat in Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah.
