Live streaming of hearing: SC asks petitioner to serve copy to secy-general

The petitioner, Senior Advocate Indira Jaising, had filed a writ petition on Jan. 18, 2018 to permit the live streaming of Supreme Court case proceedings.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday asked one of the petitioners, senior lawyer Indira Jaising to serve a copy to secretary-general of Apex Court.

Jaising had moved SC seeking appropriate direction for framing of rules to implement live streaming.

The Supreme Court in 2018 agreed to live-streaming and video recording of the court proceedings.
