Kerala: 13-yr-old Hockey aspirant looks on as national players sweat it out

Hailing from Patna in Bihar, thirteen-year-old Mohammad Kaif moved to Kerala when he was eight years old along with his father and mother, and took admission in the Kollam Sports Academy in Kerala two years ago to pursue his passion for Hockey.

Kollam (Kerala): Thirteen-year-old Mohammad Kaif observes from the dugout as national level Hockey players sweat it out during the 10th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2020 underway in Kerala's Kollam.

Kaif, an aspiring Hockey player himself, is a favourite among all the players.

When he is not busy assisting the players as a ball boy, or serving water and tea to them, Kaif spends his time practising his moves with a Hockey stick.

Hailing from Patna in Bihar, Kaif moved to Kerala when he was eight years old along with his father and mother, and took admission in the Kollam Sports Academy two years ago to pursue the sport.

"It has been two years since I have been a part of this academy. The coach here is very nice," Kaif told ETV Bharat.

With his role model being Manpreet Singh Pawar, the present captain of the Indian men's national field hockey team, Kaif proudly says that he wants to represent the country as a Hockey player one day.

Kaif has already represented the Kollam Sports Academy in several Hockey tournaments.
