New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that Kashmir is "India's internal issue" and there is no room for Pakistan or any other country to intervene.

  • There is violence in Jammu & Kashmir. There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world.

In a series of tweets he said that he has taken the stand despite the fact that he disagrees with this government on many issues.

The Congress leader also said that violence in Kashmir is instigated by Pakistan.
"I disagree with this Govt. on many issues. But, let me make this absolutely clear: Kashmir is India's internal issue and there is no room for Pakistan or any other foreign country to interfere in it," he said on Twitter.

"There is violence in Jammu & Kashmir. There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world," he added.

Gandhi's tweet come in the backdrop of Pakistan writing a letter to the United Nations and citing the incident wherein a delegation comprising of several Opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to visit the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and was sent back to Delhi from the Srinagar airport by state authorities.

The delegation had gone to analyse the situation in J&K after the Centre's decision of modifying Article 370 which guaranteed special status to the former state.
