Gadag (Karnataka): 'A soldier not only knows his responsibility towards the nation but also for his family', and here is a great example of this.
A heart-melting incident happened on the outskirts of a village in Gadag District of Karnataka where a soldier put a tent on a tractor in his farm for his family's safety amid COVID pandemic.
According to the government rule and safety of his people, Prakash Haigar, a soldier returned to his hometown decided to spend quarantine in his farm which is 2km away from his village.
Prakash from the Anthur village of Gadag Taluk served the army for the past 14 years on the India-Tibetan border in Arunachal Pradesh.
He left Arunachal on July 2 and returned to the village on July 3.
"I have old mother and brother and I can't take any risk by staying with them, so decided to be on quarantine in my farm," Prakash said.
The health department has examined his health but didn't found any signs of the deadly disease yet.
