Karnataka mother and son battle COVID-19, provide financial succour to poor people

A woman and her son in Attoor, a suburb of Yelahanka, Karnataka have been going out of their ways to bring poor people out of their financial misery amid countrywide lockdown.

Bangalore: A retired government school teacher along with her son has been providing succour to financially distressed people of Bengaluru in order to help them fight the deadly virus.

Savitri Devi has given her life long pension to Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Further, her son MS Balaji who is a businessman by profession has been providing loans to poor people without charging them any interest. Reportedly, so far he has given loans to 82 people in need.

After Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa requested the public to come forward and help others, the duo have been doing their best to take care of people in need of support.
