One more arrest made in Indore drugs case

In the ongoing investigation in the Indore drugs case, police arrested Moin Khan who has confessed to supplying over 1 kilogram of drugs in the city.

Indore: Crime branch has arrested one more accused in connection with the 70 kgs MDMA drugs, the biggest seizure of the psychoactive drug in the country so far. The accused, identified as Moin Khan, was nabbed from Mumbai and has confessed to supplying over 1 kg drugs in the city.

Police said that interrogation of the accused is underway and had supplied the drugs to earlier arrested accused, adding that Moin used to purchase drugs from two peddlers Wasim and Rahees and was involved in drug trafficking.

Further questioning has revealed that Khan gave crucial information about other people indulged in supplying MDMA drugs and said that he had established his own network in the city to facilitate drug supply.

Police said that they are on high alert and are carrying out searches in multiple locations based on the inputs and more arrests in the case is likely to happen soon.

During interrogation, Khan revealed that he used to supply drugs to vanity van managers and in-charges and they, in return, used to provide it to the celebrities.

In the ongoing investigation in the Indore drugs case, the police had arrested 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Ayyub Qureshi, Gulshan Kumar murder accused, Wasim Khan, among 15 others.

Indore Police had on January 5 allegedly seized 70 kg MDMA drugs and arrested five accused. This is the biggest seizure of drugs in India. The price of the drugs is around Rs 70 crores in the international market.

Police had earlier arrested Vedprakash Vyas, Dinesh Agarwal and Sardar Khan in the case-who were running a drug racket under the garb of a tent house and catering business.
