New Delhi: Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar claimed that coronavirus was man-made by Chinese to create havoc across the world but India responded by making vaccines to save the humanity.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Kumar said that people are free not to believe this but this virus was made in China. Today the whole world is hailing India's coronavirus vaccine efforts.
He also slammed at opposition parties for raising doubts over COVID vaccines made in India.
"The vaccines made in India are not only better but also economical. Today, its demand is increasing all over the world whereas some leaders in India are trying to discredit a life-saving medicine for their petty politics," he added.
He further said India successfully controlled the coronavirus pandemic by implementing several methods and took the recovery rate to over 97 per cent while brought the death rate below 1.2 per cent.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched the world's largest vaccination programme Saturday and almost three lakh beneficiaries, belonging to the priority groups, were vaccinated on day one.
