Poonch: Two Pakistani fighters were detected on Tuesday night going supersonic 10 km from the Line of Control (LoC) within Pakistan Occupied Kashmir in Poonch sector, following which India has put its air defence systems on high alert.

Loud bangs were heard in the area due to the sonic booms, they said.

In the wake of the development, all Indian air defences and radar systems are on a high alert, the sources added.

On February 27, Pakistani fighters had reportedly transgressed into the Indian air space in Jammu and Kashmir and tried to target Indian military positions before they were chased away.

In the dogfight, one F-16 fighter of Pakistan Air Force was shot down by the Indian Air Force, which also lost a MiG-21 Bison plane.

Subsequently, there have been a number of instances of Pakistani drones trying to engage in reconnaissance in India.

Further details are awaited.

Intro:New Delhi: The Union government today has filed a counter affidavit in matter related to Rafale deal case.

Body:The affidavit which has been filed by the Ministry of Defence has claimed that the leaks have affected the national security and breached the terms of agreement. It also added that the photocopying of documents illegally amounted to theft.

It also read," [T]he documents attached by the petitioners are sensitive to National Security which related to war capacity of combat aircraft. Since the Review Petition has been widely circulated and is available in public domain, the same is available to the enemy/our adversaries."

The Apex court has also been informed that an internal enquiry regarding these leaks had commenced on February 28th, 2019 and still is under progress.

The affidavit further said," The petitioners are using unauthorised accessed documents with the intention to present a selective and incomplete picture of internal secret calibration on a matter relating to National Security and defence."

Conclusion:Alleging that the petitioners were indenting to "mislead" the Supreme Court into "deriving wrong conclusions", the government urged the court to junk the review petitions.

The hearing in the review petition will continue on March 14th.
