Hyderabad (Telangana): As many as 26 passengers, along with the driver and the cleaner, escaped unhurt by taking timely action when a bus they were travelling caught fire at the RC Puram area of Hyderabad on Friday morning.
The vehicle caught fire due to a short circuit in the engine. The bus was preceding from Mumbai to Hyderabad.
After noticing the flames, the driver stopped the bus and alerted the passengers to get down. As soon as the passengers got down, the fire engulfed the vehicle in which luggage of the travellers was also destroyed.

Minutes after receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the incident spot and doused the flames. Cops have registered the matter and an investigation is underway.
