New Delhi: Raising serious exceptions over the involvement of All India Muslim Personal Board (AIMPLB), Hindu Mahasabha Advocate Vishnu Shanker Jain questioned the latter's funding, which he claimed was being done by 'private parties to file review petitions against the Ayodhya verdict'.
Addressing a press conference at Delhi, Jain said the Sunni Waqf Board was one of the petitioners in the dispute case and still denied to file any petition.
Speaking about the differences among Hindu parties with regard to the temple, Jain said this is an ongoing process and people are putting up different views.
"The Supreme court orders are very clear, either the land will be allotted by the Central government if it has to be given in the acquired 68 acres or by the state government if the land will be allotted outside the acquired area in Ayodhya (to the Sunni Waqf Board)," added Jain.
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), also held a press conference urging the Centre to reconsider the Places of Worship Act as it violates the constitution.
The Act has been mentioned in the Ayodhya judgement wherein CJI Gogoi ruled that it was necessary to protect religions and uphold constitutional values.
The Act says the status of religious places had to be maintained as it was on 15th August 1947 and the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri masjid was exempted from this.
According to the HJS, it is their legal right to challenge the religious status of various religious sites.
