Chandigarh: Haryana cadre IAS officer Ashok Khemka informed ETV Bharat that he has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, against the Supreme Court's registry's rejection of his appeal to appear/argue in person for a case against the Haryana government regarding his Annual Confidential report.

Refusing to divulge the details of the letter, Khemka said that it is confidential and he is yet to receive any response.

Haryana government had approached the Supreme Court against the Punjab and Haryana High court order which had ordered expunge of CM Manohar Lal Khattar's adverse remarks from Khemka's report which could hamper his elevation in posts.

Khemka wanted to appear in person for the SLP but was denied by the SC's registry as the petitions have to be submitted by an advocate on record of the court. He moved to the Punjab and Haryana High court challenging the denial but did not get any relief from there as well.

So now Khemka has written to the CJI regarding his appeal.
