Gurgaon (Haryana): At a time when healthcare professionals are being overburdened with the increasing number of people testing positive for coronavirus infection, Gurugram Civil Hospital in Haryana is using a humanoid robot to battle COVID-19, making it the first health facility in the state to do so.
The robot provided free of cost to the hospital has been deployed in the isolation ward of the hospital to distribute food and medicine among the patients.
The robot is also expected to assist the doctors while treating coronavirus infected patients.

Developed by Hitech Robotics Company, a private firm, the robot once charged can work for up to 10 hours at a go, and can take as many as five commands at a time.
