Gunmen kill teenager in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district

According to locals, there has been an increase in crime in Mewant. The area under Bharatpur is led by a newly appointed police officer. Earlier this month, a minor was killed when a guest at a wedding opened fire in celebration with an unlicensed weapon.

Bharatpur: A teenage boy was shot dead and his uncle was injured by gunmen in Bharatpur in Rajasthan, reports said. Police identified the boy as Chetram Saini and his uncle as Prabhu.

The shooting occurred in Mewant when the pair were heading towards Barkheda village. Saini, who runs a shop in Kasba, was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

The assailants arrived on a motorcycle, according to reports.

The area around the site of the shooting has been barricaded amid a sense of fear among the public.

Police Commissioner Lal Meena, Deputy Supreidentent of Police (DSP) Pradeep Yadav and other officers arrived at the crime scene and launched an investigation. The motive for the attack is not known yet.
