Gandhinagar: A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Wednesday discussed important issues related to Navratri, sources said. The Vibrant Navratri Festival is organized by the state government every year at the GMDC ground in Ahmedabad. This year the state government has cancelled the Vibrant Navratri programme to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that based on the SOP of the central government, there will be a discussion on whether Garba will be organised or not. Earlier also, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, all the key issues regarding the street Garba have been discussed. Now that the central government has issued guidelines, the state government is yet to issue an SOP on how to celebrate Navratri.
The state government will soon issue special guidelines in the state.
