New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday returned with his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann ki Baat' and claimed he felt empty without the addressing the nation.

It was the first edition of his popular monthly radio address after Bharatiya Janata Party's mega victory in the Lok Sabha election.

  • Four months, thousands of letters, mails and suggestions…

It has been a long time.

I have missed #MannKiBaat and am glad we have once again connected through the radio.

"The rigours of elections called for hectic preoccupation, but one thing that was missing was the sheer joy of Mann Ki Baat," Modi said.

"We would listen, we would re-iterate; at times our expressions would turn into an inspiration for someone close to us," he added.

The Prime Minister also commented on his trip to the Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand right before the counting day, and said that his secluded time in the cave allowed him to compensate for the emptiness caused by not being able to address the nation.

"I shall not reveal other things today, but I certainly want to tell you that perhaps in that solitary cave, I got an opportunity to fill up the vacuum caused due to the long pause that Mann Ki Baat had to go through," he said.

He also expressed happiness over the messages written by the citizens saying that they miss Mann Ki Baat.

Jagargunda (Chhattisgarh), Jun 29 (ANI): Jagargunda, once a deserted and haunted village because of the Naxal violence during Salwa Judum in 2006, has finally seen a new ray of hope in Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel-led state government. Jagargunda was the most Naxal affected village of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. The village and 14 other adjoining villages bore the brunt of Naxal violence and a generation was being deprived of education. With the new Bhupesh Baghel government coming into power, the village has been witnessing a change in the scenario. Reconstruction work of buildings and schools began in April 2019 and in June 2019 construction work of a school, which was demolished by the Naxals 13 years back, got completed. Over 80 students have taken admission in various schools in Jagargunda in classes ranging from primary to 12th, indicating that a new spark had ignited a whole new world for students after being deprived of educational facilities for 13 years.
