The LG tweeted "Advised field officers to focus on proper delineation, strict perimeter control, intensified IEC, active house-to-house surveillance with special focus on high-risk population for their effective management as per government guidelines."
The LG asked the District Magistrates and Deputy Commissioners of Police to constructively engage resident welfare associations and volunteers in managing containment zones and enforcing preventive measures.
The LG said that hospitals must display information on availability of beds and applicable charges and ensure that all those who are in need of medical care are attended to.
On Friday Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of Coronavirus would not be extended in the national capital.
"Lockdown will not be extended in Delhi," said Jain. His remarks came in the backdrop of speculation on social media that the city would go back into lockdown mode.
