New Delhi: Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) airport security has been tightened after a threat call from a banned outfit named 'Sikhs for Justice' (SFJ), warning that it won't allow two Air India flights to reach London tomorrow.
According to Deputy commissioner of police (IGI airport) Rajeev Ranjan, the airport security was immediately beefed up after Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, introduced as general counsel of SFJ, appealed supporters to boycott AI 111 and AI531 from Delhi to London on Thursday.
Officials involved in the Delhi airport security said that Air India officials have been alerted and additional deployment has been made in and around the airport.
When ETV Bharat tried to contact Air India, they did not respond.

Last year, Union Home Ministry had banned SFJ for its anti-national activities. The banned organisation had pushed for Sikh Referendum 2020 as part of its separatist agenda.
The government had also blocked 40 websites in July belonging to SFJ for supporting secessionist activities.
