India tests 8,05,589 samples on Nov 14

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, accumulative total of 12,48,36,819 samples have been tested up to November 14 with 8,05,589 samples being tested on Saturday. 

The total recoveries have surged to 82,05,728, pushing the national recovery rate to 93.09 per cent, while the fatality rate stands at 1.47 per cent.

India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7,30 lakh onAugust 23 and 40 lakh on September 5.

India's COVID-19 caseload crosses 88-lakh mark

India's COVID-19 caseload went past 88 lakh, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease crossed 82 lakh, pushing the national recovery rate to 93.09 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.

The total number of cases mounted to 88,14,579 with 41,100 infections being reported in a day, while the death toll climbed to 1,29,635with 447 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.

Telangana adds 661 new COVID-19 cases, lowest this month

Fresh COVID-19 cases in Telangana touched its lowest in recent times with 661 infections taking the tally to 2.57 lakh, the state government said on Sunday.

Three deaths during the last 24 hours ending at 8 pm on Saturday pushed the toll to 1,404 and the case fatality rate stood at 0.54 per cent against 1.5 per cent at the national level, a bulletin said.

There were 15,425 active cases in the state.

Arunachal Pradesh reports more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases

Arunachal Pradesh reported more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases in a single-day as 102 people were cured of the disease while 34 new infections pushed the tally to 15,792, a health department official said on Sunday.

Altogether 102 people were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries in the

state to 14,421, State Surveillance Officer (SSO), Dr Lobsong Jampa said.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands tally rises to 4,527

Nine more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, pushing the union territory's tally to 4,527, a health department
the official said on Sunday.

Of the nine new cases, five have travel history, while four were detected during contact tracing, the official said.

Mizoram reports 25 new COVID-19 cases

As many as 25 new COVID-19 cases were reported from Mizoram in the last 24 hours, making the total cases mount to 3,393, on Sunday.

As per the health department of Mizoram, a total of 2,820 people have been discharged in the state, after recovering from the infection. The death toll has reached 4. The active cases stand at 569.

Jharkhand reports 154 new cases; tally rises to 1,05,935

Jharkhand's COVID-19 tally rose to 1,05,935 as 154 more people tested positive for the infection, a health department official said on Sunday.

One more fatality pushed the state's coronavirus death toll to 922, he said.

Ranchi district reported the highest number of new cases at 39, followed by Ramgarh (38), East Singhbhum (24) and Dhanbad (15), the official said.

The state now has 3,116 active COVID-19 cases, while 1,01,897 people have been cured of the disease so far, he said.

Jharkhand has tested 10,693 samples for COVID-19 in the last 24-hours, the official added.
