Lucknow(Uttar Pradesh): Amid the novel coronavirus scare in India and subsequent lockdown across the country, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that vegetables, milk, fruits, medicines and other essential commodities will be delivered to common man's door steps. For this purpose, we have identified more than 10,000 vehicles, he added further.
Chief Minister has appealed to all the people to not go to market to buy essential items.
"I would like to assure the 23 crore people of Uttar Pradesh that we have enough stock of essential items like vegetables, milk, medicines etc. For the safety of you and your family don't step out of your houses & maintain social distance", said Yogi.
"Services of essential commodities will be provided at door steps with the help of 10,000 vehicles having police forces. Government has also made subsequent arrangements for sanitization and proper measures will be taken care for hygiene", said CM Yogi.

According to the official statement, Adityanath said that we have made complete arrangements with 4500 PRVs and 4500 ambulances. PRVs will deliver the goods from door to door. Mandi council and committees will work in co-ordination with the state government to keep an eye on the arrival of such essential food items. Food will be supplied to several districts through production and marketing associates. Home delivery of essential items will continue but special care will be taken that common people should not gather at these places.
"All the District Magistrates of the state have been directed to provide door-step arrangements to the police officers and personnel working on duty while coordinating with the Commissioner of Police. For the supply of essential food items in the control rooms to be set up in all the districts and it will be ensured that there is effective co-ordination and management at each and every level. In this regard, contacts of control room should be circulated among the citizens so that the district administration can also get feedback from the public for better management", said Yogi.
Uttar Pradesh has reported 37 positive cases of Covid-19 till now. The development of UP govt came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced 21-day lockdown in the country starting from midnight of March 24.
