While talking to ETV Bharat, Lakshmidhar Raut, professor of Chemistry Department said, "We know the importance of hand-sanitizers at this point of time. Our workforce is less and students of the Chemistry department are working on it. Everything has been planned according to the guidelines of the World Health Organisation. We are trying our best and we will do everything possible from our end".
On being asked about the chemicals used, he said, "We are using ethanol, isopropanol, glycerine, hydrogen peroxide and distilled water. At present, we don't have enough supply of raw materials due to which we can provide sanitizers only for few days. If we get enough raw materials, I am sure we can provide it to the entire Odisha. We are distributing it for free in our campus".
