Theni (Tamil Nadu): Due to unavailability of e-pass, the marriage of a couple (bride from Kerala and groom from TN) was held at Kumuli, border of both the states.
Prasath (25) from Kambam in Theni district was engaged to Gayathri (19) from Karapuzha, Kerala. Their wedding was planned to be held in Kerala on May 24.
Due to lockdown the groom and his clan had applied for e- pass. But the e-pass was unavailable till the wedding day. The groom along with a few family members left beforehand to TN- Kerala border Kumuli.

Unfortunately, the groom did not receive his e-pass and was not allowed to enter Kerala. Simultaneously the bride's clan who were waiting in Vandiperiar, left to Kumuli on hearing the news.
Under the advice of Kumuli Inspector Jayaprakash, the couple married in Kumuli itself. Only a few relatives were at the wedding. Later the couple left to their respective houses.
