Congress will oppose Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament: Rahul Gandhi

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has assured the people of the northeast region that Congress would not allow Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to introduce the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament.

Agartala (Tripura): Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has assured the people of the northeast that the party will not allow Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to introduce the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in Parliament.

While addressing a public rally at Tripura’s Agartala on Wednesday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, “I am telling you we (Congress) will not permit BJP to introduce Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in action inside the parliament. In Northeast, there will be no Citizenship Amendment Bill.”
