While party spokesperson Shama Mohammed urged the people of India to raise their voices against the hate unleashed by BJP and to save India's pluralistic ethos.
She said, "Our freedom fighters gave their lives for the idea of a pluralistic India. The BJP has polarised this country to the point that even the mere portrayal of Hindu-Muslim unity in the Tanishq ad has trolls up in arms. India’s pluralistic ethos is its soul, and BJP is out to kill it."

Agreeing to his arguments, Congress MP Digvijay Singh once again hit out at BJP-RSS, saying, "Hon Governor is also Governor of Goa where the CM is also from BJP a Party which swears by Constitution when taking Oath of Office but acts against the very Preamble of the Constitution!! RSS doesn’t believe in our Constitution."
Congress leader Udit Raj also attacked BJP-RSS ideology over the matter of Maharashtra Governor. He tweeted, "Maharashtra Governor & BJP have asked whether Shivsena is secular or Hindutva?
