Patna: The Lok Janshakti Party(LJP) President Chirag Paswan released their election manifesto 'Bihar First, Bihari First' for the upcoming three-phased elections.

Releasing the election document, Chirag Paswan said that the party will work on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of development to take the state forward.

"Today, with the release of our party's manifesto for the Bihar assembly polls, I put forward our vision of 'Bihar 1st Bihari 1st' which will resolve various problems that the people of Bihar have been facing," Paswan said in Patna.

Building a web portal where job seekers and employers can connect directly, constituting a Youth Commission, separate toilets for women in all block headquarters, gram panchayat headquarters and markets, connecting all rivers by setting up canals to prevent floods and drought are among the main poll promises that found mention in the LJP manifesto.

Chirag said, "The Sankalp Patra is based on the vision of my father, late Ram Vilas Paswan and is aimed at the upliftment of youth and improvement of education, health, law and order and job opportunities."

Setting up of food processing units and implementation of the 'Denmark model' to boost the Bihar dairy industry are some of the other key takeaways in the manifesto.

Chirag Paswan, who broke away from NDA citing ideological differences with JDU, said if Nitish Kumar won the election by mistake, the state would be on the verge of getting ruined.

''If the current Chief Minister wins this election by mistake then our state will lose. Our state will again stand on the verge of getting ruined. I wonder how he promotes casteism. It is not appropriate to imagine the development of Bihar under the leadership of a person who promotes communalism'' Chirag said.

While Chirag has been targeting Nitish Kumar over various developmental issues, he is going soft on the BJP. The LJP had quit the NDA citing ideological differences with Nitish Kumar. The party is contesting on seats against the Janata Dal (United) but has declared 'support' for the BJP.

Chirag has always asserted that 'double-engine' government of BJP-LJP will form the government in Bihar. He has ruled out possibility of post-poll alliance with RJD.

Various political parties in Bihar are releasing their manifesto and busy wooing their voters. The Mahagathbandhan and BJP have also released their manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections.

The 243-member Bihar Assembly will go to the polls in three phases -- on October 28, November 3 and 7 -- and the results will be announced on November 10.
