Vijayapura: Residents of Yambatnal in Karnataka's Vijayapura district, were shocked on Monday when they spotted eagle carcass amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

A villager was on his way to his field when he found the dead eagle lying on the road.

When he inspected it closely, he found that its legs were tied and a sensor camera was attached to its body.

Soon the news spread like wildfire triggering panic among the villagers.

Some even suspected that the eagle was sent by another country to collect confidential data.

The district administration was informed about it and the matter is being investigated.
