Kottakkal (Kerala): In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, former Prime Minister and JDS leader H D Deve Gowda said that JDS is against the Citizenship Amendment act (CAA) and it is the worst decision taken by the BJP government.

The senior leader said that other NDA-allies parties are also opposing this act and CMs of 13 states have directly said no to this act so there is no question of supporting the act by JDS.

Over recent firing in Mangaluru and BJP's claim that people from Kerala came to creat problem in the state, he said, "BJP is saying that a lot of people came from Kerala... people covering their face. They were coming to creat problems in Mangluru. Can BJP name a single person came from Kerala? Only two media persons went there..can they show anyone other than media person? They only lie and give these kinds of irresponsible statements."

When asked about the future alliance with Congress party he said, "we are fighting against both the BJP and Congress so there is no question of supporting any of these two national parties."
