New Delhi: A four-day conference of top officials from India's Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) began on Wednesday in Dhaka.
According to the officials, the conference will have discussions on border management, fencing and development work along the border.
BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana is leading a six-member Indian delegation, which includes top officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs.
From the host country, BGB Director General Major General Shafeenul Islam is leading a 13-member delegation it has members from country's PMO, home and foreign ministry.
The BSF delegation will return to India on September 19 after signing a Joint Record of Discussion.
The last meeting was held in Delhi in December 2019.
The biannual talks between BSF and BGB started in 1975 and organised on alternate occasions in Dhaka and Delhi for the management of the 4,096 km long border between the two neighbours.
