Further, he informed that some hospitals in India have already been using plasma transfusion for treatment of COVID-19 positive cases. "I appeal to the COVID-19 survivors in Assam to donate their blood plasma so that more COVID-19 positive patients can be treated. The countries like the USA and China have used plasma transfusion to treat the COVID-19 positive cases and succeeded. We have 34 COVID-19 positive cases in Assam and five of them have been sent home after testing negative. These survivors should donate their blood plasma for treatment of other patients," he said.
