Patna: Addressing a public rally on Thursday ahead of the Bihar elections in Karakat town of Rohtas district, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda said, "It is very easy to give speeches and slogans in politics but only a person who has 56-inch chest can serve the poor."

While the BJP president discussed the development work done by the central and state governments, the RJD and Congress were fiercely targeted. Taking a dig at RJD's reign, he said that Bihar has been made a pasture in the name of a 'Charwaha Vidyalaya' and has fodder scam.

"Nothing was done to Shahabuddin under Lalu Raj and Shahabuddin was sent to jail under Nitish Kumar's rule. In Lalu Raj, Krishnaiah, a Dalit Collector of Gopalganj, was killed. In Lalu Raj, businessmen left Bihar," he said.

He claimed that the situation improved when the NDA government came to power. He said that earlier only 24 per cent of the areas in the State had electricity, but now 100 per cent places in the State have access to electricity. Taking a jibe at RJD he said, "Now-a-days people of RJD are also talking about development. Modiji also explained development to him. Now they too have understood what is the aspiration of the people of Bihar."

While addressing a public meeting in Aurangabad, JP Nadda mentioned China. He said that the brave soldiers of India are battle-ready in the border. He said India has built 4,700 km of roads from Arunachal Pradesh to Ladakh. "Due to this, there is a panic in China. There is road connectivity on the China border. Now we can fly to the border on a plane. India is also going to benefit greatly from the Atal Tunnel. India has given a befitting reply to the nefarious acts of Pakistan and China under the leadership of PM Modi," he said.

The Election Commission of India has announced a three-phase election in Bihar in October-November. Voting for 243 assembly seats in the State will be held on October 28, November 3 and November 7. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued its fourth and final list of 35 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, giving repeat opportunities for four state ministers and the majority of the sitting MLAs.
