Bihar Congress incharge vows to strengthen party in state

Bihar Congress incharge Bhakta Charan Das, who is likely to visit Patna by January 11 or 12, said that he will leave no stone unturned to strengthen the party from the grassroots level and sort out various political challenges in the state.

New Delhi: Newly-appointed Bihar Congress incharge, Bhakta Charan Das, said on Saturday that he would focus on strengthening the party from the grassroots level and sort out various political challenges in the state.

Das, who took over as incharge of Bihar on January 5, is likely to visit Patna by January 11 or 12.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Das said that he will leave no stone unturned to strengthen the party in Bihar.

"I want to make the organisation sharp in the state and I will work to make sure that active people are there at each level in the organisation. I will make sure that no injustice is done to poor, labourers and farmers in the state," he said.

He said that the Congress, the RJD and left parties will continue to remain in alliance in Bihar.

"The BJP is a communal party which is engaged in the politics of divide and rule. It is very important for us to remain united in order to stop them," he added.

Das further quashed the reports that at least 11 legislators are leaving the party and said that there is no rift within the party and it is united in the state.

It may be mentioned here that Das, who hails from Odisha, is also the incharge of Mizoram and Manipur.
