Bengaluru: Former Secretary of AIADMK VK Sashikala, who has been arrested on charges of illicit property, has not been released from jail this time. Following this, her followers wrote a letter to the officer at Central jail in Bengaluru seeking the release date of Shashikala.
Sashikala was arrested by the police in charge of the illicit property in 2017 and the court has announced her imprisonment for the four years of period. So the followers of Sashikala wrote a letter to the officials to release the Shashikala under the RTI.
The followers asked in the letter that according to the court, Sashikala has to be released in August so what the officials have decided regarding this matter.
The police officers while Talking to the ETV Bharat reporter said that a letter came from Tamil Nadu but without any address of the sender on it.
Politicians Sashikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran were jailed in February 2017 on charges of illegal property acquisition. The release date of Shashikala's jail is not yet fixed.
According to the Jail officers, Sashikala's behaviour was not good in prison and the authorities have not taken any decision on her release as of yet.
